Dear Future Fishermen with Grop’s Guide Service;

I’ve been fishing with Grop’s Guide Service in Northern Wisconsin for quite a few years now.  

Dan knows the lakes in N. Wisconsin very well and can teach even an older guy like me many good skills to improve each fishing experience.  Dan has the latest technology to locate fish.  He also has the skills to explain how his devices work plus how to get the bait in front of the fish using the correct presentation.  The fishing rods, lines and tackle that are provided by Grop’s Guide Service are the best available.  Note that every detail is prepared ahead of time so that as soon as you drop yourself into the boat the fish are nervous.

The Ranger boat that Dan has is very roomy and sea-worthy for big or small water so it is very versatile for focusing on any species.  During the winter we used a large, heated tent that was comfortable for a substantial group of ice fishermen.

As mentioned previously, Dan is a great teacher specifically on technique and reading a body of water.  As I told Dan while Muskie fishing, “It’s the small improvements you recommend that make a big difference”.  The very first time we went Muskie fishing I had a fish on in the first 20 minutes.   I continue to work on my hook set technique!!

If you’re looking for a great time on the water coupled with opportunities to boat trophy fish Dan is the guide you’re looking for.  Nobody will work harder and keep you focused while you’re smiling and laughing at the same time.  I also wanted to stress that safety is first out on the water and I’ve always felt very safe fishing multiple bodies of water in Grop’s care!
